eConsultancy in Manchester

Today I attended a Social Shorts - part of the eConsultancy's events. I have to say the buzz around social media reminds me of the early 2000s with the dot com era, but with perhaps a little bit more of a constraint? I hope so! I had come across a few of the analytic tools before (for example Klout and PeerIndex have appeared on the BBC Click programme) and some I hadn't (e.g. socialbakers). I came away with the impression we need to be doing more within Social Media in the School in our Marketing.

Dubai MBA Induction

Last weekend it was a delight to go to Dubai and conduct the MBA induction with colleagues Julian Rawel and Dr Claire Moxham. Dubai is a vibrant city with an exciting an ambitious population of managers. This year Bradford University School of Management has DOUBLED its intake. From approximately 35 last year to 70 this year. In order to keep the quality of the programme we have divided the cohort into two groups of 35 each. My congratulations to Dr Claire Moxham who will take over as the Director of Studies, a post I have been associated with for the past eight years. I now go on to look after the full-time MBA, the part-time MBA and the Accelerated MBA, which are all the Bradford-based programmes.
